Hey Flybet,

Remember when you took off with the severed elevator cables and didn't tell anyone? Only a complete idiot would do that twice in less than 12 hours.

not only does he remember it, he was bragging about it right here on this very forum...

but just in case he dosent recall...

About 2 years ago I flew a caravan out of Cedar Rapids Iowa, my show time was about 9pm or so, DHL guys loaded my airplane I did the weight and balance started the engine and taxied to the runway. I got cleared for T/O so I powered up my PT6, at about 75kts the airplane rotated to about 20 degrees nose up. I tried pushing the yoke forward but the yoke was already full forward. So I began to trim like crazy forward. Got the airplane undercontrol and turned on the AP, then I re-did the weight and balance and after all the calculations I came to the conclusion that it was not a CG problem. Had a bit of a problem on the approach into CVG b/c the yoke had no more forward movement. So I had to use the AP all the way down to the flare. Before departing out of CVG I asked the DHL guys to load my plane a bit nose heavy. Took off and once again, nose went up high, this time I even got a steady stall horn, I just about pissed my self. I tried pushing the yoke and once again and nothing. So I trimed the living hell aout of it. The AP flew all the way back home, once I was on a downwind at CID turned of the AP and realized that I had a complete control failure. I tried banking the airplane, and nothing. So I used the AP once again the capture the LOC and Glideslope, and then basically landed the dang thing with the trim. Two hours later mechanics said it was a miracle that I was on the ground b/c the cables on the trim were broken as well. All the bolts and cables of the airplane were streched, and ripped.....lucky to be alive, someone upstairs must like me.

that or the Darwin award was already taken for the year :puke:

You walked away from your Cedar Rapids route and Butch Baxter warned
MRA about you.

you wouldnt be referring to the infamous "runway-extension-at-the-expense-of-my-prop" project, would you now ;)

When MRA took over MAF you were not even on the their payroll anmore! That's why your never got taken over like the rest of their pilots.

yes, but its all MRA's fault

BTW no former MAF pilot ever got fired from Martinaire and the senior MAF guys are still around.

...game...set...match :smash:

Hey Flybet,

Had you killed yourself, maybe you'd have qualified for a Darwin award.

Aight, when I took off, the aircraft acted as if the CG was aft. I re-checked the Weight and Balance and yeah I was a bit heavy on the a$$ end, but within the envelope. So I requested on the second leg to have extra weight on the front of the aircraft. The aircraft misbehaved again, but I still had controll of it. So prior to declaring an emergency and making things at CVG get out of hand. I continued the flight without any problems. When I landed at CID I called my CP pilot to inform him that the aircrafts controlls felt a bit weird and I told him how the aircraft was behaving on takeoff and he said to me multiple time "Dude, sounds like a CG problem" I said, no I dont think it is, I checked and rechecked the weight and balance. He replied, well I'm sure it is a CG problem. So then after having it inspected, yeah there were problems with the controls. This was my FIRST night out on the line, first 135 freight, single pilot job. There was only so much I could do but wait land, and inspect. And yes I did inspect the aircraft on a preflight, postflight, and pre takeoff. I did fill out an incident report by the way and faxed it to the proper places. Secondly I did not abandon the CID base, I called my company and due to a tragic family emergency I could no longer stay at CID. I still covered some flying out of Texas.
Oh yeah and the FOD incident on the runway. I dont have X-Ray eagle vision. How was I suppose to know that after landing I was going to encounter FOD on the runway.

What a little bit** by the way. Get off your knees for a change. Stop acting like you've never had anything happen to you, we've all had something happen to us. A year ago I almost hit a deer while landing on an airport. Unexpected sh*t happens. Now flying into a TFR and getting escorted by military jets, that sh*t just doesnt happen. That's just stupidity. I'm not going to sit here and point the finger anymore b/c its just not worth it. But the fact of the matter is who ever screwed me and other fellow pilots b/c they just get a power rush, then they better watch out. Some people just hang out at certain jobs, not b/c they like em. But bc they just can go anywhere b/c of a bad record. Peace out

brian, brian, brian...i think you are missing the point here

Stop acting like you've never had anything happen to you, we've all had something happen to us.

sure, things happen to everyone...some big things, some not so big, and then some are really lucky ones against whom things were never reported that probably should have been, but would have more than likely ruined careers ;)

What a little bit** by the way. Get off your knees for a change.

oh nice...someone who has worked there disagrees with your "official assesment" and they must be on their knees being a little bi**h...youre coming across as a class act yourself, sparky

you came into this conversation talking trash about a company, telling us how crappy it is over there, how the chief pilot is not worth the space his name is written on, and how the MDC pilots bailed shortly thereafter...funny thing is, you have not worked for the company you hold such disdain for, and there are still to this day quite a few MDC pilots flying the line over there

And I wasn't bragging dumba$$...

i have read the thread and any sane person would disagree. just posting such a story on the internet is bragging in and of itself, not to mention the tone of the thread...cmon man!

youre change in demeanor since page one is duly noted...but keep in mind, you are on the defensive because you threw the first rock into the hornets nest :p

Sure?

Flybet3 isn't worth our time ...

Flybet3 screwed himself ... never once did he think to do a flight control check before take off (twice) and he did bail on MAF.

Nobody at MAF had anything good to say about him.

MRA wasn't going to touch this loser with a 10 ft pole.

The MRA CP's record speaks for itself. He never owed this "flunkie" anything.

MRA did good by not hiring Flybet3.(B.V.)

They had already met their "Beaner Quota" anyway when they hired "El Guapo" (aka the unemployed A300 F/O) .

Dude, didn't you just tell me that it was MAF fault. And they're the ones that screwed me? Come on now Mr. Bates get off your high horse and secondly Beaner Quota? It's funny how some of you (Bates) just happen to have the biggest nuts behind a computers screen and keyboard. I would love to see if you had any balls to talk like that to a beaner to his face. Pu$$i
And I did do the controll check twice prior to take off, you weren't there All mighty Bates.

Beans, beans the musical fruit

Hey Brian Vielman

Strange name for a beaner ... Oh well. Pu$$y is spelled with a "Y" at the end and as much as I'd like to please you, I'm not Mr. Bates.

I also never said it wasn't your fault. I said it wasn't MRA's fault that you got black balled by MAF.

All that crap you pulled at MAF was 100% your own doing.

Maybe you needed at co-pilot in that ultra complex Caravan to keep you out of trouble.

Had you really performed a flight control check like you claim to have done, you'd have noticed something ... at least by the 2nd attempt.

Then again maybe you're simply an inferior pilot. Must be genetic ...

Tell me something, does it stink when you change your Mom's diapers or can she wipe her own a$$ now ...?

Maybe that makes you an "a$$ wipe" beaner ... and yes I'll call you a beaner punk to your face all day long given the opportunity.

You'd have to come out from behind your own keyboard first though beanie weenie.

Mike Bates, everyone knows it's you. So stop acting like like someone else and stop coming on here with all these different names. And no, my mother does not need to get her diaper changed you loser. Inferior pilot? yeah sure Mr. I had to stay at Martinaire because no one else will hire me. Dude do the world a favor and put a bullet in your head before someone does it for ya.

Don't worry ... he'll take the bait ... he does every time!

So do you chump....oh yeah, how's that wife of yours doing. Last I heard you guys were having some issues... yeah, we all know.

See ...

I knew you'd take the bait ...

You've been wrong for over a year now ... oh well ... pretty crazy for

someone to be so obsessed with bad mouthing a company and CP you never

worked for and don't know anything about.

I guess "Senior Beaner" can't help himself ... you still have no clue who I am

and that's OK by me.

I'll be sure to say "Buenos Dias" to Mike Bates for you the next time I see

him. I'm sure he'll be tickled pink when I tell him how I've gotten under your

skin.

So you're gonna go to the mirror and tell your self this? I am amazed the FAA let you keep your license after that "little incident". What amazes me the most is that Martinaire keeps you around. Well someone's got to pay them back their money.
