Lynxman,
Keep your flight contract, I was initially active duty and currently still fly in the reserves. I fly the CH46E in the reserves and the CRJ900 in my civilian job. You can get your fill of being a grunt at TBS and do a follow on tour as a FAC. When I went to Flight school years ago, winged July90. The Marine Corps basically had 60% helo, 30%Jet and 10%C130 out of flight school. The V22 is slowly replacing the CH46E now. The V22 Osprey good airshow bird and runway to runway but fleet support not so much. Enjoy your time it does go fast. I have been fortunate to have been in the cockpit since being winged never have left the cockpit, 22 years and counting serving the Corps. Enjoy Quantico,VA.
