Alfonso Rodriguez Jr., 50, was arrested on Monday at 7:20 p.m. in Crookston (search), Grand Forks police said.

Rodriguez is being held at the Tri-County Correctional Center in Crookston, police said.

The police will give out more info tomorrow morning..I certainly dont have the best gut feeling either about it.

I spent some time up there in the north country and had a real affinity for North Dakota and the people there. A lot of my friends went to UND, I still enjoy visiting Fargo.

Hope by some miracle she is found alive...

Here is the profile of that piece of sh!t. God grant me 5 minutes alone with this mother f**ker...

http://www.doc.state.mn.us/level3/OffenderDetail.asp?OID=108212

He was just released in May for violent sex crimes by the way. All the more reason why these people should be pummeled to death for their crimes. My 2c.

That is one ugly s.o.b. - I sure hope he pays a dear price for what he has done if our worst fears come true about this. May God Bless her family and help them through these tough times.

His time will come when he has to answer to his maker.

Offense Information:
Offender has a history of sexual contact and attempted kidnapping with adult females. Contact included pentration in two instances. Offender used force and has used a weapon to gain compliance. Offender was previously known to one victim, not previously known to two victims.

..Well then why the bloody h*ll was he out on the street and not six feet under???? These freaks will pick pick and pick until they finally do something Really horrific.

IF he did it then this gal might be fine if this country had a "real" justice system.

Like a lot of folks, I wouldn't mind hastening that day.

Her shoe was found by a bridge, and there is a preliminary DNA match with her blood found in his car.

GRAND FORKS, N.D. — Authorities have confirmed a preliminary match of blood found in the car of a convicted sex offender and that of missing college student Dru Sjodin (search), Grand Forks County Sheriff Dan Hill said Tuesday.

In other developments, the sheriff told Fox News that authorities discovered a single shoe near a bridge that was identified as belonging to the 22-year-old.

Geez guys! Have you ever heard the phrase "innocent until proven guilty".

This guy may or may have not done it. Regardless, our democracy depends upon people getting a fair trial, not the ever so popular "trial by media" du jour.

Let's wait for the courts to decide before we form a lynch mob.

It has been crazy up here. I live 2 blocks from the parking lot where she was taken. They searched the trees next to my apartment. I called investigations and offered to fly low level for surv. but they have every bird in the state here. Saw the border patrols A-Star hovering, the state patrol Cessna, plus all the media choppers making noise. Word on the street is they found the knife and shoe a week ago but it was just released. Wouldnt be surprised if LE knows where she is. The river has about 1000 holes drilled in it with divers searching.

PS-
If he would have been let out, a NODAK farm boy would have shot him. Gaurantee it.

Yeah, this one is a difficult one...
1) Camera footage of him being in the mall and his car in the same parking lot as Dru's
2) Knife Sheath by Dru's car
3) Dru's blood in his car
4) Knife with Dru's blood on it in his car (gee, anyone else think it matches the sheath? Methinks so!)

But yeah, lets wait til it's proven!

Either way, it doesn't matter. Anyone that has kidnapped three women (4 now), raped two of them and tried to kill one, deserves to die the most horrible death imagineable. My 2c

I used to live at Legacy Apts. You live there?

I used to live in the new building (forgot the building #), in Apt 203. Kool place to live.

Does not look very promising at all unfortunately. I sure hope this SOB pays for what he has done but without a body found I assume the only charges they can "prove" at this point would be the attempted kidnapping.? I wonder what tactics the authorities are using to try and pry the information out of this scum bag.? They need to lock him up in a room with Tyson and not let him out until he speaks and admits what he has done. I would guess after what has been found thus far that a much bigger "find" will probably be found this weekend when they go back out.

Money in the bank that this SOB is solely responsible for what has taken place.

May God be with her family

I agree, so what about OJ? No question he did it, and the jury chose not to punish him.

Me, I say torture him for a few weeks... have a radio talk show where people call in with ideas for punishment and they are carried out on live TV.

That's a phrase used in our legal system, the so-called "court of law." We are not in a court of law, and we are perfectly capable of forming opinions without the aid of a jury. Apparently you are, too.

TO WIT:

Your Avatar and its heading seem to imply you are peeved at Mayor Daley for plowing under Miegs Field. Tell me, has the Mayor been found guilty of such a charge in a court of law by a jury of his peers? Certainly not, and he certainly will never face a jury on the issue. However, you were able to assimilate facts and draw a logical conclusion.

That's all we're doing. And it's OK.

:)

"Innocent until proven guilty" is a phrase that is appropriate to a sitting jury in a court room trial. The rest of our society is totally free to form whatever opinion we want to about anyone. I think the judge who set bail at $5,000,000, for a guy that probably could not make bail at $500, has an opinion also. The high bail is no doubt connected to this convicted class III sexual preditor, is that he IS very likely guilty, from the evidence the district attorney presented to the judge, to hold this scumbag over for trial. THERE, he can be innocent until PROVEN guilty, but not in this non juror's eyes. FRY THE GUY!

Just one more example as to why these people should not be let out of prison. From the list of crimes he has committed, he should have already been put to death. But I guess the system has deemed him "rehabilitated." Some great system we have. What about "an eye for an eye." This seems like a good case for that.

Hope they find her alive and well.

We'll let you have the honors, since you brought it up. You have my permision to rape the guy and then bludgeon him with a knife. (All state and federal laws apply).

What the "F" is wrong with People.

Why should we pay to keep this "F" alive for decades when one 9mm bullet is about .25 cents? Kill him. "F" him, "F" the ACLU and "F" anybody who thinks the justice system protects the victims. She was/is a beautiful young girl with her entire life ahead of her until this piece of mexi-s*it was let out of jail. He knows where she is. slice his nuts off 1mm per minute until he talks, then burn him alive. Who cares?
