I fear for the future of our country.
Who needs a trial! CNN said a knife was found! He had prior convictions! He must have done it! Fry the bastard!
No wonder every other country in the world sees us as a bunch of barbarous cowboys. All of you asking for vigilante justice should be ashmed of yourselves.
We have courts for a reason. As soon as you set aside the justice system because the public has decided he's guilty before he even has a chance to defend himself, we have lost the very freedom this country was founded upon.
The police should NEVER have released that information to the media. Twenty years ago, you would never have heard any of this until the trial. Now, it's on the 6 o'clock news and everybody decides he's guilty based on what? Have you heard him speak? Yet one more sad example of our immediate gratification society.
Maybe he did it, but let's not talk about bullets being cheap until we have a conviction. At least not on this message board.
