I was just told that MAG was awarded bases in MEM, IAH and MCI. Those that know ASA, everytime we open a base, we close it- DFW (the first time), SLC, LAX. My source was just asked to be a mx lead in one of those aforementioned bases (MAG). If we (collective XJT) vote yes, what happens when mesa gets those E170s in the summertime?

This is not meant slam folks as MAG, but wake up the yes voters at XJT.

What purpose would an MEM and MCI base serve UA?

I thought they were going to be E175's...

I just hope this does not end up like the CRJ900 deal for Delta out of JFK.

First of all, nobody gets "awarded bases." Awarded CPAs and aircraft sure, bases no. United could care less what bases their regionals have.

XJT opened MCI due to the fact it was a MX base already and we had 10-12 RON a/c every night. Just because MAG may have MX in any given city means nothing to XJT.
