This clip from the movie "Brave Heart" pretty well sums up what happened to Mark N. at SkyWest. IMO, there is nothing worse than being betrayed by those who claim to have your back.

Individuals at SkyWest at the time will be played by the following:

Mark Nolan (SAPA President) = William Wallace (Mel Gibson)
Those at SkyWest fighting for True representation = Wallace's Army
The other SAPA reps = The betraying Scottish Noblemen
Jerry and his management team = English King Edward I and his Noblemen
All the cool aid drinking employees at SkyWest = The English Army

Notice how King Edward didn't hesitate to put his soldiers in the line of fire of his archers. This has happened over and over to through the years to the SkyWest faithful as their compensation, benefits and quality of life are taken away from them by a greedy management team.

Ultimately William Wallace was executed by King Edward but Mark N. escaped with his career and has moved on to greener pastures (no thanks to those deceptive SAPA reps who sold him out).

Thank you Mark for putting it all on the line for us. There were many of us there at the time who Really appreciated it.

William Wallace died for his beliefs [principles]--he didn't move to a different country where life was though to be better. An almost analogy...

Both William Wallace and Mark N. were betrayed by their own. Dave A., Dave L., Jim B., Mike E. and Mike S. all sold Mark out (there are others but these seemed to be the worst). Had Mark not fled to Alaska he would have been fired. SKYWRJGUY, which one of the above are you?

Who plays the 11% return on the $80M loan to United? Oh right, that's also played by The King and his nobleman. I guess a bunch of dirty Scots don't need any benefits after all.

To me, it sounds like the SkyWest employees financed the loan to United via their heath insurance. This after the flight bennefit money grab by United and Delta. BTW, I don't pay $200 for flight bennies at Delta.

I think it was $217 and some change, either way I appreciate everything Mark did, and tried to do!!!! Too bad there aren't more who "get it"!

P.S. Don't forget the UAL "benefits" going down the same sad road...

I'm none of the above. Difficult line to say he would have been fired had he not gone to Alaska...more illogic to add to your weak analogy. Actually, reading a couple more of your posts, they're all pretty weak for a grown person [OK, I suppose, if you were in grade school]. Incidentally, how much to you pay for your benefits at United? I only pay $100 for my DAL bennies...

Quite a bit of revisionist history on your part, I think. I voted for MN based on the bio he released, and was quite disgusted by the antics he pulled during the ALPA drive. He attempted to subvert the organization to which he had been elected to lead. And by "lead", I do not mean "dictate to other members of said organization with blatant disregard for established rules." In sharp contrast, I think our last 2 presidents have done a great job of trying to advance this pilot group. Of course, that is an uphill in this industry in general, and at Skywest in particular, but they both embody professionalism, and are not afraid to take on the higher ups.

Your kidding right? MN tried to represent the line pilot unlike the Livingstons, Aldens Abels, Blacks, and other shlep dogs. You obviously are either one of these sell outs or friends with one of these sell outs.

I was hoping he was kidding too, but I believe he was serious...pretty sad!
