Pharmacist should be on the highest paid list. My brother is about to graduate and on the low side, he'll earn $75k his first year. If he went to the southwest, he could pull nearly $100k his FIRST year out of school.

I think I hate your brother.

I can attest that as a former Nuclear Tech, I made much more than that figure way back in '99!! But the pilot salary is finally looking more realistic. Tell me again why I'm doin' this? :/

Yuppers. Makes me want to wear a BK crown to work in response to our upcoming uniform crackdown. "You said you wanted to see the hats..."

In other news, "Commercial Pilots" seem to have taken about a $70,000 pay cut since the last one of these articles came out. That's a damn shame.

A degree in Phrmacy would eat most pilots alive, including myself. It's almost like going thru Med school after you get your undergrad.

I have looked at some of his course work, and it is indeed pretty difficult. He's a really booksmart person, and even he comments on the strain of the program. But the reward is there.. I get tired of him talking about which which BMW or Lexus he is going to buy when he graduates in 12 months.

Yes but he sits behind a counter 8 hours a day filling pill bottles. If that entices you maybe it's time for a different career.

That is the truth...get out of this sucky job for a while....make some money at something else doing what you hate....then you will find out why people who leave the industry keep coming to back to post on FI.......cause they miss the job.
