If you had a inch of icing over the North Atlantic in a non turbo piston single, you were in a situation you should not have been in. You were just lucky the icing did not continue, you could have been in a bad situation quickly.
Every year there are ferry pilots that are not heard from again, and the ocean became their grave.
If you make any stops in Bamako Mali, I can set you up with people to take care of you there, a good group of South Africans I know there.
Avoid Nigeria at all costs, even an emergency landing there will get you in prison if you didnt have permission to land there.
Already in Ghana! I did over fly Bamako Mali!! Next Stop Angola!!! I take my sun burnt self to bed now hahahaha!!!
