Looking for a copy of the books suggested for the Cathay interview:

Airline Interview Questions Explained by Capt. ABC
Preparing for your C/P Interview Guide by Capt. XYZ
Handling the Big Jets

Can find the Big Jets book for $40 on-line. I need something lower in price and the other books.

Thanks.

Do you have an interview lined up?

I have many friends that have got the call and all my books have disemenated among them. If I get any back I will let you know, but the A, B, C/X, Y, Z books are out of date and may hurt more than help.

PM me and I will help get you pointed in the proper direction.

ABC/XYZ are a crock. HTBJ antiquated but required reading, the Naval Aviators Handbook (USN/USMC) and The RAF AP3456 are the ones to read. Don't waste your time with anything else.

XYZ was written by three FAILED CX applicants. Go figure, but there's a sucker born every minute.

Welcome back from vacation Capt! Hope you had a good time!

Just sent in my stuff to Cathay and I'm about half-way through my re-read of the Naval Aviator's Aerodynamics book, thanking God for a good Aerodynamics I and II instructor in college (I still remember many of those formulas - the man was a genius - wish I was half as smart).

To tell the truth, I wouldn't mind flying the freighters for an entire career if I could stay state-side, or at least freighters until the kids are grown (wife won't let me try other countries - she's a good ole' Southern Belle and considers the South "the Heartland"). :D

You mentioned an RAF book, I'm assuming Royal Air Force; does it cover more things than the USNA book that come up during the interview process? If so, do you know where I can obtain a copy since I'm in the 'States?

Also, if anyone has a copy of HTBJ they want to sell, I'd appreciate it; I've flown Boeing before, but only up to 220,000 pounds, nothing like the Whale... Thanks!
