I am looking for some info on North American Airlines. About the company, what it's like to work for them, what the interview was like, etc. Thanks in advance!:)

There have been some threads on them over the past year. I would suggest a search. The tab is up there on the control bar.

I interviewed with them in 1995. Very laid back, just wanted to get to know me. The owner wanted to meet every applicant back then so we went and had a chat with him as well. I'm sure the guys who interviewed me have retired by now, but they were some real gentlemen, all former Eastern. I was offered the job, but turned it down to go to Taiwan. When I called the chief pilot to tell him my decision he was very understanding and even offered that if things didn't work out in Taiwan I was still welcome at North American. I thought that was very classy.

They are now doing scheduled flights form OAK to Mexico City, Cancun, and all of the Hawaiian Islands on 757s. They do MAC charters with their 767s. A lot of their pilots used to fly for National Airlines out of LAS.

PM ACWild...he works there, I believe.

I have worked here for 3 yrs. So here is the latest. There have been lots of changes all for the worst in the last year. First of all Guarantee has been lowered to 60hrs. combined with a pay rate cut, and the lowering of the overtime pay from 1.5 to 1.2 for anything over 67hrs, from 60 to 67 you get paid at straight time. Additionally the pay has been frozen at your current rate, for an undetermined amount of time. All this is being fought out in court and may change if ruled in our favor. It is pretty obvious this is all in retaliation for unionizing. They are losing pilots pretty quickly so there is a lot of JAing going on and being extended. We do a lot of international flying, I just got back from Bishkek, Krygyzstan last night. Bottom line it used to be a good place, but until all this BS is fixed it is pretty unpleasant.
