Long Trip

The best "route" in a 150 would be east thru the Banning Pass, unless there is a Santa Ana Condition happening.

Get an Air Atlas, its cheaper in the long run.

I-10 to ELP, US54 to ICT, I-35 to MKC, Direct...



Not sure about California, but the highest highway elevation in New Mexico should be about 5000' west of Deming, and perhaps 5500' or so near Corona. It's all downhill from there...
