The previously posted chart looks like it matches the one my old 135 employer had printed on the flight manifests. Since the manifests were approved and signed by a representative from our FSDO, I considered rounding up/down as appropriate to be condoned by the feds.

The easiest way to calculate flight time with ACARS is just use the hours you're paid on your paycheck. So if you have any problem in an interview you have supporting documentation to substanciate your flying hours.

Just round up... Nobody cares. It's when you're logging backseat time in a seminole trying to build multi that they really care. You're getting turbine 121 time.. That's all that matters.

I would round down.

There's no hard-fast rule to 'always round up' or 'always round down'.

While my rides have good ol' fashion hobbs meters and flight timers, my personal technique is to make my daily totals as accurate as possible. Round up .1 on one leg, and then round down .1 on the next, and so forth.

Keep it honest, but don't cheat yourself on flight time either.

Hey Chpter, what kind of ACARS equipped Skyhawk are you flying around in? :D
