I had started typing everything I did with students in the remarks section...but that got old.

Now I just put their name in.
what about the remarks from when you were a student? did you list all the stuff, plus the CFI number, etc? i just started on mine, planning on using it for interviews.

Log Book pro is a good program no doubt, but over the years I've been through a LOT of computers and it doesn't like to deal with changing computers.

My solution was http://www.logshare.com/ free, online, and almost as comprehensive (I didn't make the site, just found it and liked it)

I didn't put the CFI cert number or name, just what we covered.

For endorsements (written, practical, high perf, cx, altitude, etc.) I just scanned them, have them here, on a CD, e-mailed to myself, etc. for backup and I can just print 'em out, put 'em in the back of my printed out "logbook" and take 'em with me to interviews.

Just remember to sign your pages if you print LBP for interview purposes.

Um, Logbook Pro is basically a pile of crappy bloatware, however it is no more difficult to move from one computer to another then a word document. Install Logbook Pro on the new computer and use the file menu to open you old logs.

Expand on that?

I have entered 278 flights and about 278 hours...why are my hands numb:(

You have 2700 hours man! I couldnt imagine entering so many flights into LBP! You might have to make a couple weeks out of it, ya know, like when you get some free time.

I have only 300 hours or so and it hurt when I bought LBP.

Free. Took me 40 hours to input my log, but it has a 'print summary'
function. use it whenever I'm applying to a company.
It usually saves me an hour each time.

Also, time flown (and type) Last 365, 180, 90, 60, 30, 7 days.

Ok, that is good to hear the electronic way will save you time:)

Ok, I have already mentioned this to the logbook pro folks...its in the next update...which involves a complete rewrite...so it is not happening tomorrow :(

I WISH Logbookpro had Auto Complete. There is a big difference between Autofill and complete.

Like I have to type the n number EACH time it is different from the last entry. I can't type just the first couple numbers/letters of it and it anticipates.

Rather annoying....but not much can be done about it. Would not call it a deal breaker.

Well 519 flights entered and 491 hours...I am going to bed:(

Ok, I was having this problem with my USB 10 number keypad. Every time I turned the numlock on the USB keypad it would turn the numlock on my laptop on also.

Rather annoying because with my laptop's numlock on the K is 2 , the M is 0 and so on. I found this program that lets the numlock on the usb 10 key act independantly of the laptop's numlock.
