Ain't nobody making that kind of cash flying a 737-200. What a F'in load.

Am I right in seeing that Chuckles in the left seat has three bars, and Zach Braff's stunt double in the right seat's got two?

Usually the models they find to pose for these pictures just put their epaulets on backwards.

edit: Waitaminnit, this is the same article from 2007 that we've been bitching about for more than three years. I think we magically fell off the list after Flying Cheap aired.

That article is from 2007...

Today's median is $24,000. Just like a WalMart greeter...

You have got to be kidding! Just how much research did that reporter do?

It's Forbes's.

What was that about the liberal media again?

http://www.mathsisfun.com/mean.html

So one pilot makes 280,000 a year.
5 pilots make 35,000 a year.

280000 + 35000 + 35000 + 35000 + 35000 + 35000 = 455,000

455,000 / 6 = 76,000

Thus the 'Average' pilot makes 76,000 a year.

Probably the number you want is the mode and that is probably something like 20 to 30K a year.

If you are only counting the Majors / LCCs, then that number is likely accurate. If you mold in the regionals, then no way.

The data came from the Bureau of Labor and Statistics...here's the data for 2010...

http://www.bls.gov/oes/current/oes532011.htm

This does nothing to further your argument of a non-liberal bias, it just illustrates your ignorance.

Ok- now do me a favor?
Click on both links- yours and the Forbes one.

Notice a discrepancy?

Yeah- the bls chart shows mean annual wage of $117k, Forbes shows $140.3k

The bls data doesn't seem right to me and Forbes still inflated it 25% or so. Real fair and balanced there....

I still question the bls #, there's no way after all the outsourcing that the bottom 10% average $56k. I would also like to see what these numbers include.
