This board is starting to sound more like "Romper Room" than what it was ever intended to be. Please remind yourselves that the title here is "Aviation Interview Board".

There are many good folks out there that are in need of a job, or at the very least desire objective and MATURE information in regards to his/her career! This used to be a place to share and find that sort of information. It still should be. Unfortunately it seems that the primary focus here has changed.

This board has turned into nothing but a slam-fest of "mine is bigger and better than yours", "our IFE is better that your IFE", "wer're gonna kick your butt", "we've got sushi", etc. etc. etc...you get the point.

Without having to mention names, there are a select few of you out there that are the primary instigators of all this retoric. You know who you are and so do we. Trust me, it's not very becoming. Time to grow up a little.

If you insist on continuing these "tabloid" type of postings, please take it elsewhere. There are several other web boards out there that cater to this type of rant. I'm sure they would welcome your input.

In the mean time let's get this board back on track. Let's get back to what was originaly intended here. I'll say the name again one more time just in case you forgot it, "AVIATION INTERVIEW BOARD". Sort of has a nice ring to it....

I suppose we should hold a committee meeting and decide on the approved list of topics, and the prescribed method of responding to posts. We'll need 13 members, and of those we'll need a President, Vice-President, Secretary-Treasurer, and a Parliamentarian. I nominate V2+10 to be the parliamentarian. Do I hear a second?

Hello? Which rock have you been living under for the last two years?
The airline industry has been in a tailspin. There are a ton of out of work pilots and very few companies hiring. IF someone does have an interview, they should have no problem finding that information on this board by doing a quick search.
This board has always had more than a couple side topics. Back when a brand new commercial pilot could find work at multiple regionals and military pilots had multiple interviews before separating from the military, there were quite a few mil vs civilian threads. Then there was the Delta vs ASA/Comair threads. The list goes on and on.

Who have you got an interview with and what do you need to know? Ask and I'm sure that you'll get a lot of responses. If you haven't got an interview, what difference does it make what people talk about on this board? If we didn't talk about some of these subjects, the hit count would drop off substantially.

The d!ckheads that are out in force on this board are going to do and say what they want, when they want. That's the sole reason they are here. That's why I spend so little time on this board. It is almost completely worthless. It's just a place where people can come and act like a$$holes and get away with it. Period. No useful information is here. There are better places to go if you are looking for that. If I were you, I would find a place where your time is better spent than jousting with the d!ckheads on flightinfo.

I was surprised by the attacking responses to my original post so I went back and read it again. In doing so, I can see why some of you took offense to it. In retrospect, it did come off as flip and arrogant. For that I apologize.

My intent was to do nothing more than hopefully create a bit of focus back towards the original intent of this board. Nothing more, nothing less. It’s clear that it did not come off that way and it’s obvious that was my own fault.

Yes this is America and everyone indeed does have a right to his or her opinion, right or wrong, good or bad. It’s one of the great things that make this country what it is. Just remember that there is a difference between opinion and slander.

I again offer my apologies for the “tone” of my original post.
