There's just too much that could have been easily faked. A stable, ultra high-velocity explosive like that would have found a commercial or military application. The claimed detonation velocity is similar to that of a blasting cap. A blasting cap contains far more explosive, and I can tell you from personal experience that you can't "vaporize" a watermelon with one.

This one's busted, IMO.
