We have been flying with the WX-950 stormscope and really like the additional information it provides. It is not available in our new aircraft we are getting, they offer the Honeywell LSZ-860.

Any info or comparison with the LSZ-860 vs. the Stormscope WX1000, WX950... etc. would be greatly appreciated.

thanks in advance.

First of all, I've never used the LSZ-860 system; but I understand that it's basically "just another spherics detector" so it ought to work well. My main question would be will you have display redundancy? I'm assuming that you will be able to move the display to the various MFDs in the event of a failure. If you can't do that then I'd probably want to consider something with a dedicated display.
