Why CheeziePuffs? I was eating them when asked to come up with a login name while registering with AMB.
Anyway, I just wanted to introduce myself to this great message board. My name is David Denny. I'm 46 years old and living in Columbus, Ohio. I just recently started my PP training at Don Scott Air Field with NFA and I'm truly ecstatic about this experience. I've always wanted to learn to fly and I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to do so now. Can you remember your first flight? I'm amazed at just how small everything looks from 3K feet. I feel such a sense of awe. I think I may have found a new passion. Thank God for the Wright brothers and those that followed their lead. Where this new adventure will take me, God only knows, but I can say for certain, it has been fantastic so far.

You should read the 'training' board. There's a guy on there who just solo'd who posts lots of info that many of the other posters just assume everyone knows, info that might be more relevant to you than the latest contract rumors. This board serves as the 'water cooler' for allot of us, so take everything with a grain of salt.

From one aviator to another, welcome to the world of flight!

Thanks Boo...
I love that Avatar picture you have below your name. I have to admit she makes me little crazy....
I'm on my way over to the training board. Thanks for the tip.

Off topic but stillaboo's avat...picture is hard too look away from. It's hypnotic like waves on the beach......

First flight

I took my first flight in a small airplane 33 years ago. Never forgot it. My first training flight was twenty-one years ago. Never forgot it, either.

Good luck with your training. Above all, remember that flying is supposed to be fun.

Just did my first three landings in a Aeronica Champ last week. That really brought me back to my first flight. It's a great feeling having your elbow out the window and wind blowin' by. Enjoy every moment of your training Cheeziepuffs! (I don't know about that screen name, but a cool avatar will make up for it- haha)

Don't forget when you have thousands of hours to go back and get in that tail dragger and enjoy why you got into this in the first place. Cheers, and good luck...
