Laws are supposed to be made by congress and congress alone, not activist judges.

Yet another pitfall Barak or Hillary supporters don't grasp--the inevitable appointment of judges that legislate from the bench if one of those two lefties are elected.

You manage to say something factually incorrect in almost EVERY thread you post!

In fact, US law is based on English common law, where judges do, and are SUPPOSED to make law. The whole "just interpret the law" thing is only a myth. Plus, most statutory law only codifies what the judges have already decided.

To make this simple:

The US and UK have, and have always had, systems where judges MAKE LAW.

France (a civil law country) has a system where only the legislature, and NOT judges, make law.

Every time you hear a right wing commentator say they don't want judges making the law, they are saying they want us to be like France.

Anyway, WTF does any of this have to do with ALPA and US Air? I have no dog in that fight, and I'm glad I don't.

The interesting thing will be how the ALPA cheerleaders work with USAPA if it becomes the USAir union.....There is some grandstanding going on now to defend ALPA....However if USAPA becomes the USAir union, then the pro-union folks should support it....After all they will be union "brothers and sisters"......

Time to pop some more popcorn........

That's because jerk406 is the same troll posting as jmoney and tankerclown, this prick isn't even a pilot. Just some pencil pushing dweeb sitting behind a desk!

So does this mean you are a usapa supporter?

Rez...why are you anti-USAPA?

Because the next decade of international cahnges will require all US pilots on the same page...

USAPA is regressive. They are not even about the present. They can't even vision the future. They are all about the past.

Eating popcorn is about the best you can do and offer. You hate ALPA because it is what you wish to be.... you just don't have the skillset and personality to deal with the complex world..... not that ALPA is so great.... but the ALPA volunteers and cheerleaders have one characterstic that you don't.

They are not quitters.

And what exactly does ALPA promise for the future, besides rolling over on cabotage?

ALPA is and always will be about the fat cats on top getting theirs at the expense of the dues-paying majority.

And you know ALPA would not turn down any money for contracted services

Thankyou for this post. It is indicative of the ALPA cheerleader mindset: If you don't agree with us, you're wrong!

Way to foster change, Rez. You're going to abandon it just because it goes against your agenda of saving ALPA? How do you know USAPA would not grow into something beneficial?

So far ALPA has shown itself to roll-over for just about any crap that managements want to hand them. ALPA has dug their own grave IMHO.

Pretty obvious that the former US Air pilots don't have much to lose by jumping the sinking ALPA ship.
