Came back to work today and found a nice letter from Mgmt that explained how SLC was closing and how that would not be the first or last. Then went on to say that the new 90's/705's would be based in our new pilot domicile of SRQ. Operationally, ASA needed SRQ as a base for the new aircraft as it would allow for more efficient utilization of crews. i.e. - they gain 1.5 hours each day as crews are sent to the Yucatan, Central America, and points south. Official notification of the new domicile will be announced after the ASA pilot's sign off on the pay cuts presented by Mgmt.
