Lenten sacrifice - flightinfo

So the wife (CounterGirl) and I were talking about lent tonight and trying to think of something that would be a sacrifice and flightinfo came up. Obviously I lost this one, so I'll catch you guys in 40. Cold turkey is going to be tough.

Lets face it, what your givin up ain't as bad as giving up the booze. I quit the whole not eating meat on Friday thing because I would get about 2 bites into a burger or chicken wing before I'd realize what I had done and the day of the week I did it. So if you get a chance say a prayer for me. This coming from a guy with 2 uncles who are priests.

I gave up latte's. To which my wife replied, "Cafe au lait is not a latte." OK so that's out too.....same thing with mochas, cappuccinos, you get the idea. Black coffee or green tea only.

I thought about giving up beer too, but I really don't drink much of it so it would be no great sacrifice, as opposed to the lattes, which is more of an addiction. (I write this holding a beer, the second of the evening. I think I'm compensating for the upcoming lack of lattes.)

This likely means no more trips to the Hunny Hut. This is a small latte shack on the way to work staffed exclusively with off-duty Hooters girls. All attired appropriately...low-cut jeans, tight tops, etc. (I'm sighing as I write this. Oh the pain! I think I'm turning into a dirty old man.) I suppose I might check in there once in a while, to catch up on the latest Hooters politics, you know. After all they do sell black coffee and green tea, but they don't lean over the espresso machine to make those. Ahhhhhh! I'm already weakening and it's only the first day! Moral support requested.
