2000Flyer, excellent post. You gave a sound viewpoint, in your opinion, about an aircraft comparison. None of this mine is bigger than yours type crappola that is posted on this board.

Thank you kind Sir.

on a g550 hud and evs are standard equip i believe. someone will correct me if i am wrong i am sure. whatever you select on the guidance controller (vnav, flch, rate) is reflected in the hud. so so path/pitch is up to the user. i would guess that the auto-throttles are engaged 99% of the time.usually on from line-up to touch-down. :)

I use the auto throttles from 400' (not certified for T/O) to 50' on final. One less thing I have to think about during an approach. Speed control is tremendous. Soon, FMS speeds will be certified thus further reducing workload.

HUD (or HGS in Falcon parlance) is an option. It was recently certified on the 2000EXy and we'll get it during Cert 2 in May.

Cool. That sounds expensive when you start talking about running the APU for 1/2 an hour ;)

Aint that the truth! ;)

back to the topic...

Hmmm .... "company payscale..." is that code for do not walk in here with no stinking salary survey?

My guess is that the headquarters is based in SMO and has cosmetics, law, financial services and construction companies in its conglomerate.

Sounds like they can afford to pay a decent wage.

As for me, you couldn't pay me enough to live in the LA area, so good luck to anyone who applies.

Now. Can anyone direct me to corporate jobs in So. Florida area?

Load the A/C weight, OAT, airport and runway along with r/w conditions and the V speeds will automaticly post. This will eventually be loaded into the FMS once cerification from the FAA and JAA is complete.

In typical Dassault fashion they delivered the 2000EX without having completed all the cerifications. When we first took delivery of our aircraft we only had data for flaps 20 take-off. We are also waiting on V speed info.

:)

i'm not picking a fight here but "5 years advanced"--??

planeview in g550 integrated cockpit has auto-throttles from line-up to touchdown. auto-v speeds, auto fms speeds, hud w/evs, all of which you said "easy" cockpit doesn't have yet. And it is 5 years ahead of planeview? what am i missing? :)

No fight here. We have a Collins cockpit 2000EX. You are about 10 years ahead of in terms of avionics.

Now if you want to talk about general engineering and aerodynamics ... well then ..;) :)

In addition to what G100 said, on the EASy you'll program other relavant speeds, ie. below 2500/4nm from airport, below 10,000, transition from IAS/Mach, descent, SF1/2/3. In otherwords, I'll select "FMS" on the auto throttle and no longer have to dial in desired speeds as they'll already be programmed. The only time I'll have to change a speed is at ATC's request.

Gulfstream came certified because even though it's EPIC architecture, it's still standard avionics, different presentation. Plus, if I'm not mistaken, they had Planeview in certification runs long before DFJ was finished enhancing their EPIC upgrade to EASy.

BTW...did you seen the numbers on the 7X? Paris-LA burning 5000....5000!!! pounds less than the G500!!! Even at a cheap (I can't believe I'm saying cheap!) $3.00 a gallon, thats a $2250 savings...not to mention some $10 Million savings in aquisition.
