Any body out there know if new jackets from Perronne, etc. should be sprayed with a leather sealant? Thanks.

The best way to keep your leather jacket looking like new is to vacuum seal it in a bag, pack it in a box and then open it up the day that you retire from the professional airlines.

Then, it will look like it did the day you bought it and you will thank me.

Sincerely,

B. Franklin

I used Harley-Davidson Leather and Suede Water & Stain Repellent. $8.00 for a 5.5 oz can (enough for probobly 2 full applications). It didn't discolor or change the jacket's appearance in any way and works great.

I called Perrone and they sent me a conditioning kit. The lady was so nice, she didn't even charge me for it. Great company to deal with.

Thanks for the advice. I ordered a jacket from Perronne while I still could. Our new leather jacket is a p.o.s. made in China. The lady at the company store was like, "well they're only $200 compared to Perronne's $400." Yeah and the Perronne jacket is still a better deal.
