Check out this job offer I just found!! I guess things are going this direction in the corporat world!

"Part 91/135 Operator in Memphis, Tennessee, is seeking to hire a full-time Learjet 35A First Officer. Minimum requirements include 2500 hours total fixed wing, 500 hours PIC fixed wing, and 1000 hours multi-engine. Current Lear 35 FAA Form 8410 preferred, SimuFlite or Flight Safety within last 8 months also preferred. ATP preferred, but not required. King Air 200 experience preferred. For applicants that do not have current training or 8410,

applicants must pay for and successfully complete SimuFlite initial/recurrent.

First year's salary $25,000.

Medical insurance provided after 3 months and all training expenses paid for after first year. Must be a motivated, dependable, team player ready to fly your butt off in an extremely nice airplane."

That is the most rediculous thing I have read in a while. I know that 2500 hours is not alot of time for a career, but they really want someone to pay $10,000 to make $25,000 per year being squished in a Lear 35? your chiropractor bills will be more than that!!! oh well, if you are "flying your butt off" you might not need to rent an apartment, maybe then you could eat.
I hope they DO NOT get anyone to fill this position!!
spread the word!

P-F-T

It is not P-F-T per se because you can use the initial training from FlightSafety or SimuFlite anywhere. I gather from the ad that they are really looking for someone who has time in the Lear but aren't willing to pay the salary. Therefore, they will take someone with less time who would be worth less money, but the person has to pay for the initial. I also have the feeling they want to groom that person to be a PIC.

When I read "motivated, dependable team player" it tells me you will be asked to do more work than you can handle, be underpaid, and be treated poorly.

I agree, it's not a job for which I'd rush to apply.
