Wow, what's going on over there?
Does the labor unrest (war of east vs. west) have anything to do with it?
Its the first time I've seen LCC stock less than DAL stock. At one point this stock was steady in the mid 30 dollar range. Of course we are dealing with airline stock!

I bet the shareholders are asking the same thing. I'm just a caveman and all, but at $18 a share, if anyone is shopping right now for merger partner this could be the price point.

The good news (?) is that instead of focusing efforts on a new contract with a good economy (last Spring), the AAA pilots have chosen to ignor the binding arbitration and try to start up a new union with the primary goal of throwing out the Nicolau Award.

New Union Start Up.......................$150,000
Buttons, bag tags for same.............$ 50,000

Yearly cost to just ONE AAA pilot for failing to attain a new joint contract.....................$30,000

Having the rest of the Airline Industry watch AAA pilots tactics?................................PRICELESS!!

I believe you are 100% correct. The tide has turned and we all are going to pay for this mess.

That's right it's all USAPA's fault.

We'll just ignore the two years since the merger that your beloved management would harldly even talk to any of us prior to Nic.

If it only wasnt for those damn East pilots, we would all be rolling in dough.

Grog:
Its a sad state of affairs you guys got going on over there, and I'm glad we dodged that bullet. The sad thing is the BOD opted to renew Parker for another 3 years, so, as the saying goes, same old $^%&, different day!

The interesting thing they included in his extension a better package in case of an acquisition.

It is pretty bad between East and West these days. I admit I'm as angry as the next guy, what really sucks is Parker and Kirby are making millions while the pilots fight out the seniority issue.

In the mean time any chance for real gains slip away as the economy slowly tanks. I don't think I'll end up on the street, but I bet, thanks primarily to the East MEC and ALPA National's lack of leadership I'll be at bottom level pay for a long time to come.

Oh well, at least it ain't Mesa.

What was it that your guru's were saying next quarter's estimates were gonna be? Oh yeah, zero or negative.

Here's our November's. http://www.reuters.com/article/marketsNews/idUKN0528830720071205?rpc=44

Happy Quanza.

Where do you people come from.....
From your own article:

The carrier said its revenue passenger miles for the month declined 4.6 percent to 4.7 billion from the year-ago period on a capacity drop of 4.6 percent.

Meanwhile, back at Delta:

AP
Delta November Traffic Rises 5 Percent
Wednesday December 5, 4:48 pm ET Delta Traffic Up 5 Percent in November on Capacity Expansion and International Growth
ATLANTA (AP) -- Delta Air Lines Inc. said Wednesday overall traffic rose 5 percent in November on rise in capacity and strength in international markets. The carrier said revenue passenger miles increased to 9.36 billion in the month, compared with 8.91 billion revenue passenger miles in November 2006. A revenue passenger mile is an industry unit measuring one paying passenger flown one mile.
Delta's U.S. traffic rose 0.2 percent to 6.46 billion revenue passenger miles in November, while international traffic surged 19 percent to 2.91 billion revenue passenger miles.

Total system capacity rose 5.6 percent to 12.15 billion available seat miles, from 11.51 available seat miles in the same period last year.
So far this year, traffic has risen 5.3 percent to 112.35 billion revenue passenger miles, from 106.7 billion revenue passenger miles in the comparable period in 2006.
Year-to-date capacity has increased 2.5 percent to 139.26 billion available seat miles, compared with 135.87 billion available seat miles in the same period in 2006. Delta shares rose 6 cents to $18.36 in aftermarket trading. They lost 31 cents to close at $18.30 in the regular session.

Now, Delta has said it plans on having a 0 to -2% profit margin for the 4th quarter. Let's wait and see what LCC does.

If only the East guys hadn't decided to screw it all up in hopes of tacking us to the bottom. Now we're at the bottom alright, pay that is. Before oil went up and the economy went down we could have seen narrow body captain $170/hr and fo $110/hr. Not now though. Stupid #@%@#%^@! East idiots.

That's right, unfortunately the A330s and A350s can't get here fast enough for the international expansion. Delta though is well poised because you guys already have the planes and international route structure.
A friend just left a message on my phone saying he got hired at Delta. I'm glad to hear it, I advised him to stay away from US Airways. What are the junior bases? I know he is wanting LAX eventually.

Deadalus:
NYC (MD 88) is the junior base/eqp. That being said, the next bid (we call it an entitlement) he can probably go to any base, as with PBS most people here seem to want to hold on to their seniority. The wide body f/o positions have been going very junior. He shouldn't have any problem getting to LAX.
Good luck,

That's because we have less planes than last year, what do you expect capacity to be? and PRAM (pasenger rev per avail seat mile increased 2 to 4 percent. That's how LCC is able to make 1/2 billion+. School's out!
