Is there employee parking available at LAX and how much is it per month?

Are there any hotels close to the airport that offer decent crew rates?

Thanks!

You can get a pass for the B lot which is on the south side of the airport right next to the Proud Bird restaurant. They run $30 a month. Also if you have a trailer or something of the type, there is a little tent city in there. It's a lot better than a crash pad or hotel.

As far as hotels, the best bet is to Priceline it. Lots of good deals. Also the Hacienda Hotel on the south side on Sepulveda is $59 after taxes for flight crews. That is one of the better deals you'll find.

Hacienda Hotel is $55 a night for airline crew. Free wi-fi and across the street from lots of places to eat / supermarket. Free shuttle. Clean, but not the four seasons, lots of crew stay there.

Lot D (employee lot -north) is $30 per month. Lot E (employee lot attached to lot B near Proud Bird) I believe is only $15 per month. You can call 5 Star parking at 310-646-2911 (ask for vouchers desk). They can answer any questions you might have. 5 Star is located on the first floor of the short term parking structure across from Terminal 2. I believe they only take credit cards for payment. You have the option of buying a month at a time or a yearly pass.

I'll second the Hacienda! I was based there briefly in 2000 and that's where I camped out. What's amazing is the crew rate hasn't changed since then!

Hacienda

Last time I stayed at Hacienda (jan), they charged $69.00 (taxes not included). You can get The Courtyard for $45 on priceline (bid for 2 1/2 stars)

I guess it depends....

Not as cheap as it used to be, but for LA, not that bad.

Well, I just stayed there last week, they charged me $55 and said that was the airline crew rate or the military rate, whichever ID I had on checkin. Like I said before, very friendly, clean, and convenient, but will not be confused with the four seasons complex.

That's great LUV that the rate hasn't changed since I stayed there in late 2000. Of course it's not a 5 star but they treat crews very well. And I remember that cowboy bar right in the hotel? That wasn't bad and all the stuff up, down and across the street when you're stuck on reserve (as I was). Heck, I walked a mile or two down the road (turn right) and found a Fry's electronics store. They're amazing, we don't have them on the east coast.

Even Better.....

Glass,
If you walked about another 1/4 mile South down Sepulveda, and looked left right after the car wash, you would have seen a Rubio's. They don't have those on the East coast either! It is by far the best quick baha mexican food on the planet. In fact, they need to put one in LAX, I'd leave security on transfers just to go eat there, but Manhattan Beach is the closest one.
