Anyone hear why??

Beuller???. . . . Beuller???

Actually, what I read was anyone with a seniority number less than 4000 should consider their bid suspended.

The next 100 line numbers for FO upgrades will be 4000-4100. :D

If you write it enough, it will become true.

Get you some coffee?

Yeah

I actualy consider moving to the right seat of the Boeing. I thought 'wouldn't it be great'.....I could have Albie being the b1tch and serving me coffee!:D

False Alarm. . .

Sorry guys. . . it was an administrative hiccup. . .

seat bid

Just curious, when is this bid final or when will the vacancies be filled by?? Is there any chance it will include any pool peeps??

it be final

The bid is final, training starts ASAP. Most of the training dates only go through early next year, so expect another bid soon.

No, poolies are not part of the bid. We will get through peak and then I would CERTAINLY expect hiring early next year.

There has been a consideral amount of draft and volunteer in the 727 so we must be getting lean on bodies.

See you on the property soon.

Some Numbers

I didn't see Albie on the training letter, so I don't think he got that window seat yet.

Here are the numbers (approx) of the soon to be junior-most pilot in their respective seats - after all the training from the bid is complete (out of 4217 on the list):

DOM JET POSIT #

MEM A-300 F/O 3609

MEM 727 F/O 3951

MEM DC-10 F/O 3639

MEM DC-10 S/O 4019

MEM MD-11 F/O 3620

LAX MD-11 F/O 3855

ANC MD-11 F/O 3953

SUB A-300 F/O 4067

Like Goose said, the training dates only go until about April 2004, so maybe there will be another bid soon and the poolies will get to come on board and fill up those 56 vacancies in the back of the Boeing.

Keeping the fingers crossed for that!

Bring on Fins83!

727 FE Training Class

727 FE Training Class began this past week for some Professional Instructors. (I guess you'd have to call 'em FORMER Professional Instructors now.)

Basic Indoc class will follow at a date yet to be determined.

Stand by for news...

Get out of here!

Don't go pulling our chains now! Are they in class as in to become S/Os or are they in class to learn how to train new S/Os? Inquiring minds need to know.

FE class?

Where did you hear that there were folks in class? The master seniority list doesn't show anyone past #4217, and that pilot has been online since February of this year. Assuming that there are Pro's in school, wouldn't they have been given seniority numbers right away? Their employee numbers would be out of order from the rest of the guys at the bottom.

Unless I've missed something (which is entirely possible since I've thankfully been away from planet Memphis for a good while) there was no official announcement of a "new" class. Did they show up in the training letter? They're not posted there now, just one A60 herpe.

Just wondering....

I stood in the classroom talking to them during a break.

They won't get seniority numbers until the Basic Indoc class begins, which, as I mentioned, will follow at a date yet to be determined. In the past, Internal hires (including Pro Instructors) started the same as everyone else, with Basic Indoc followed by FE class. Obviously, they're doing things a bit differently in this case. Presumably, once the Basic Indoc begins they'll get Seniority Numbers, be at the head of the class and begin IOE as soon as Indoc is over.

Do you know how many are in the class?
No. I didn't ask. I know there were 3 or 4 other guys still in the room during the break (who knows how many were out of the room) and one of them was wearing an FAA ID. I assume he was observing, but I can't guess about the others. They may have been Pros from other airplanes in the same shoes as the guys I know, or they might have been Corporate Internals, or they may have been Newly hired professionals learning to teach, or... well, the possibilities are endless, I suppose. The bottom line is, I don't know how many.

I DO know THESE guys were starting 727 FE training.
