With Comair's plan for 460 pilots and 44 aircraft:
Most junior captain will probably have a DOH of '91 or maybe '92.
Most junior FO will have a DOH of '99.

Actually with all the resignations, buy-outs, early retirements and voluntary furloughs, it's looking like the most junior FO will be a '05 or '06 DOH. It will be clearer in Jan after all the voluntaries etc leave.

God, that's not long after I got on with ASA.... scary.

Airlines with 45-64yo geriatric regional pilots are a hot commodity these days!

Especially airlines with fossil crews and no guarantees of either fleet size or block hours.

I wonder what Delta could do to mitigate their risk to an age discrimination lawsuit...

Because regional vs. major lawsuits have been so successful, right?

Don't know about DOHs but the last Comair flight I jumpseated on (DCA-JFK and back) the crew looked about as senior as what you'd see here at AMR. Crusty old CA and F/O.

Needless to say, class acts, both of them - thanks for the ride, gents. It is an absolute shame what is happening to your airline. I wish you guys the best, from one bankrupt soon-to-be bottom feedin' AMR pilot.
