I was offered a job at Cathay despite a history of LASIK. They did require me to submit a full Ophthalmologic report, and the surgical history and follow-up reports from the original LASIK surgeon. I paid for the Ophthalmologist on my own dime. I can say definitively that it is not disqualifying.

No, I am not at CX. However I passed the medical in Hong Kong and was offered the job (this was before the economy tanked in 2007, maybe not my finest career decision in retrospect). I disclosed the LASIK right away, and they gave me the forms (which were HKCAD forms, not CX) for an Opthalmalogical report which I then had done in the U.S. and sent back to the medical examiner at CX.
