Question are you guys really that surprised at LAS hasn't that been a large market with a large SWA presence for long time? Are you guys so effecient that you never lay over in crew bases?

No we arnt surprised at all. Vegas has been rumored to become a base for many, many years. Actually from what they tell us a city becomes a base when you have (X amount of overnighters) which Vegas has qualified for 10+ years now. From what I have heard is that they were afraid that Vegas would become a very high percentage commuter base with the problems that go along with very high load factors/no shows etc. Plus Vegas has some of the highest priced per square foot rent in the system! But its time may have come, time will tell.

Yes we are very efficient. When a city becomes a base there is very, very few if any overnights there any more!

I wish that were the case at CAL. Having a crew base means that you need at least 2 hotels for the other crew base crews to layover in AKA IAH and CLE. No 757 base there though which explains all my CLE layovers on domestic pairings.

Terribles Rocks! I have meet many SWA crew members over the years while staying at Terribles. You can always spot them because they show their ID to get a discount on soda. I will miss the $29 airline rate that they give if SWA pulls out of Terribles. Always a great stay!

Dude. No offense intended. I'm sure Hooters and PF Chang are top restaurants. Just like I'm sure dodging old ladies and their walkers are top entertainment. My personal favorite must do is the luggy hocking contest after chocking on the smoke as I walk through the lobby on the way to my room.
