Haha. woke up that quick?

Heavy set and others,

KLM will hire non EU citizens. in general you nee a:

1) EU passport

or;

2) EU workpermit.

3) JAA ATPL (now that's a whole lot of BS to get in to)

In time of high demand KLM wil sponsor your workpermit. And there are many pilots (americans, ausies, canadians etc) who work at KLM and don't speak Dutch.

Hope this helps.

One of the songs is "Call On Me" by Eric Prydz...You should see the video!!

The song is a remake of the Steve Winwood song "Valerie"

I'll never forget the time I spent in Amsterdam listening to that song in a club!

DoJetdriver...you kick a** for knowing those songs.

That's so funny. I thought of the call on me video when I heard the song too.

For those of you that haven't seen it, here it is:

Do you need to have an eu passport on hand.

I am able to obtain one but haven't gotten it. Just have fill the app out online.

You don't need a EU passport, but it sure would make it easier.

Gluck!

Can't find the online app online.

God that sounds weird.

How realistic is it for an american pilot to be employed at KLM? My AME does medicals for 3 guys in my area that fly for KLM but I haven't been able to meet them yet. I know they are US citizens and do not speak dutch. I understand JARs and what it takes to convert a license.... I will wait to get my FAA ATP and a good bit of turbine PIC time under my belt before I try to get my ATPL. And I know the JAA & EU aren't really that fond of hiring outside of Europe... I still want to try though because my two goals were to fly tactical jets or fly in Europe, and since the military isn't for me.... is this a realistic idea or just fantasyland?

Well, you could always get hired by Atlas on the 747 and fly out of its Stansted (UK) base... Good luck.

I can't say this enough. Europe is NOT one country. Yes, the French and Germans don't like americans a lot. But you are more then welcome in the Netherlands, UK and most other western European countries.

g'luck to you sir!
