Sucks it really does. What an ambassador to baseball. Class act all the way!

is that because of his girlfried he tried to choke to death or the nonstop sexual aggravation allegations coming from all sorts of women?

yes, truly sad that he died so young, but he was no model of humanity post baseball.

For all you 'roid suckin' jocks...

Possible side effects of steroid use for males and females include the following:

  • High blood pressure and heart disease
  • Liver damage and cancers
  • Stroke and blood clots
  • Urinary and bowel problems, such as diarrhea
  • Headaches, aching joints, and muscle cramps
  • Nausea and vomiting
  • Sleep problems
  • Increased risk of ligament and tendon injuries
  • Severe acne, especially on face and back
  • Baldness

The dude at 5 foot
nothin was pushing 400 lbs!!!!! Lucky to see 45. Sad none the less.

You have to be kidding me....Pat Tillman was a sad death. A true hero. Not one of the typical illiterate millionaire brats. Kirby who? Wasn't a Yankee or Red Sox, so who cares?

Looks like booze and steriods have the same effects on a body.....

I'm not drinkin anymore!!!!!!!! And I ain't drinkin any less either!!!!!

This is clearly the fault of SWA requiring a 737 type to apply.

I believe he was cleared of any wrongdoing with all of those allegations.

Which major did he fly for again? It is sad when anyone passes so early, but unfortunately the inability of the current roid users to fess up makes everyone's early demise suspect.

I think we are going to see more and more deaths from ex-athletes in their 40's due to steroids.

I don't see the correlation. When I think of some athlete using steroids, I picture someone in great shape like Barry Bonds, Arnold S (born 30 July 1947), or the mutants on the bodybuilding circuit. Sub-7% body fat.
Old Governor Arnold used to take steroids by the truckload. He probably still does to get in shape for movies. He'll be 60 next year.
Kirby Puckett looked like a Weeble (Weebles wobble but they don't fall down) when he died. I wouldn't be blaming Kirby's death on roids; I'd be blaming this one on McDonalds.

Kirby Puckett was a GREAT baseball player and an even better teammate. Yes, he did great work in the community and treated fans and writers with more dignity than the average pro athlete.

BUT...if he was married to your sister, you would have hated him. The spousal abuse was not bogus. It was very, very real. Also, the Twins paid off one girl in an out-of-court settlement.

Great ballplayer...bad human being. It's that simple.
