Of Course they have F/O's .......somebody's gotta get the Coffee and turn on and off the Fasten Seat Belt sign ....lol

Yep, I'm that guy. (Plus the switching the bleed air's and the environmentals)

The 200 is not certified for two crew-members so the Co-pilot's in this outfit don't see any monetary benefits. But at my age, I see it as getting paid w/ Turbine time (all the Capt.'s are MEI's)

I get to exercise my Commercial Multi. privileges in a Turbo prop A/C while not spending a dime, and the company gets to fill both seats up front-which most pax prefer. It's a Win/Win.

Hey wickedpilot, I would ask about the insurance requirements for the KA200. The underwriter most likely requires your company to have two crew members onboard. If so, they better be paying you something. If not, you are doing a great disservice to all pilots
by letting them use your services for free.

In my previous position, our KA200 co-pilots were paid $200 a day. I used CFI's from the local flight school near where I lived. I thought I would give them the chance which I never received at that stage of the game. ME Turbine time and good pay to boot.

Just my thoughts.

Sesso- Just finished thumbing through my manual: 91 Ops- One pilot, 135 Ops VFR- One pilot, 135 IFR- Two pilots, or One Pilot with an approved Three-axis Autopilot. (We've got it in our B-200)

The Caps fly the 200 solo all the time. Many of the "on-demand" co-pilot's have other flying and CFIing jobs. In other words, if they can't find a co-pilot, they just go on about there trip (alone :( )

The Cheif pilot just likes to expose the local CFI's to some ME Turbine time.

I get $300 per day as co-pilot on the BE200. Of course, it's as contract pilot but it's time I need and both caps are MEIs. They let me do most of the flying so it's a good time.

Come on! Isn't anyone going to call you guys whores and go on a rant about PFT?

This board is going down hill fast...TC

P.S.--I did the same thing to build time. It was great experience!;) The plane I flew had the hobbs on the gear and we just flew around the pattern while we waited for the pax. That was probably the last good deal I've seen in aviation!

AA717. I think that the difference is the number of furloughed and unemployeed pilots that there are now.

We operate a Beechjet 400A and a King Air 200 in South Carolina. Our contract rates are:

Beechjet:
Captain: $400 per day
Co-pilot: $300 per day

King Air
Captain: $350 per day
Co-pilot: $250 per day

There is a charter operator in town that pays King Air pilots:
Captain: $300 per day
Co-pilot: $200 per day

Hope this info is helpful.
