We are staying in Edwards,CO and looking for suggestions on where to eat dinner. Leaning towards a good steak place.

thank you

In Eagle there is a realy great restaurant and microbrew in old town, I'm not sure but it might be called the Broadway cafe and the Bowling Alley is brand new and a great place for food and sports bar beverages. The girls at the FBO know the good restaurants in Eagle but I'm not sure about Edwards!

I am headed there as well. Were should I ski? I would rather find a good place that is less expensive.

I thinks it's called the Back Bowl or something close to that -- right behind the diner.

Arrowhead resort lift tickets are $85 per day or $44 after 2. That gives you access to the arrowhead/beaver creek ski areas. Check w/the jet center to see if they can give you discount lift tickets. They usually have some on hand.

Steak

Ask the CSR's at Vail Valley about Juicy Lucy's Steak house. Is is about a 45 minute drive but definately worth it.

Juicy Lucy is the place... plus the drive through Glenwood Canyon is cool if you're a flat lander.

i'm going to EGE tomorrow and i'll be in and out until Fri AM; no time for skiing :(...definitely ask the folks at Vail Valley Jet Center about the skiing. Last year, they hooked us up with four coupons for half off the skiing at Vail. So my partner and I skiied for $40/day instead of $80/day.

In town, the Brush Creek Saloon is fun...just bar food. Bowling Alley is fun too.

The Gashouse

Look for the Gashouse as you enter Edwards for an excellent steak option close to EGE. If you do make the short hop over to Glenwood for Juicy Lucy's, then you can also ski Sunlight Mountain. It's not great compared to Vail valley or Aspen, but the tickets are 1/2 price.

Buy enough fuel from Vail Valley Jet Center, and they will hook you up with discounted tickets for Vail. $45 a day.

going to KEGE friday for six days. Anyone know about skicooper? On a tight budget, but want to snow board 2 days.
Thanks

Another vote for Sunlight here. Its not the biggest area but its got an old school ski hill vibe that's hard to find anymore. Coupons for $10 off available on their website so tix are only $40. Probably a little over an hour from EGE.

Grand Ave Grill near Eagle is good.
The Smiling Moose Deli is great for lunch. There's one in Eagle and one in Edwards.
Gore Range Brewery in Edwards has good beer, average food.

Heading up there Monday myself.
The ladies at Vail Valley didn't have any discount tickets at least last month they didn't. Said because of the economy they weren't given any. Not sure if they got any due to spring break or not. We get our lift tickets at arrowhead. being part 121 we get a discount like 70 bucks or something like that. Not sure who all is on it so it might be worth checking out. Sports academy rents skis for like 12 bucks a day. Dirt cheap and their stuff is pretty new.

Check out Gas house. In Avon. It's the best!
Be sure to pick up a t-shirt at beaver liquors while your there.
gore range brewery in Edwards is pretty good.
Finnegan's wake in Avon for St.Paddy's day. I'll say it again Finnegan's wake for St.Paddy's day!!
Moose Jaw is pretty good as well as is Lark Burger for ...well burgers and truffle parmesan fries. No booze though.
If you want to buy booze for a start head to the Costco by the airport. You can head into the Liquor store without a costco card. No kidding. It's next door to the costco. Even for a bottle of wine or a 12 pack.

Ski cooper is the best kept secret around though.

Hope that helps some.

Best deal around for skiing. Went to Finnegans last night. I enjoyed it and wil second or third Continental. I plan on trying the Smiling Moose for lunch:) Thanks for all the ideas!
