This is heresay (sp?). Salty old guy in BRY came up to me while we were sitting and says he's a PFE for Kalitta and do I know anyone who is looking for a job. He claims they are 40 crews short, adding airplanes and need FO's. Don't know anything about Kalitta and have no contact information, but if anyone is interested I'm sure they can find out. Cheers.

Do a search under Kalitta, this has been discussed here in great detail, not to put anyone off, but it is a quick way to get info if enterested.

Just curious,

Last I heard Kalitta was up to 15 classics. Is this still true? Or do you guys have more? What are the plans for the near future, airplane-wise? Looks like ole' Ned has really kicked started the operation.

Thanks.

Going to 17 classics.

More hireing going on.
Some guys that where fired last year are trying to get back on with the help of the union.
Quick upgrades, but plenty of time away from home

What happened that guys got fired... does Kalitta fire vs. furlough? I hadn't heard that one....

Just curious,

Does Kalitta have a geographic focus or long-term contract routes? Like Asia, Europe or Latin America...???

Do they have PFE's or do they put lower time guys in the F.E. seat? Wondering if I need to take the F.E. written to get an interview...??? Are they hiring for F/O's and F.E.'s?

I did the search and could not find any info...

I've always heard good things about Kalitta...

Kalitta does not seem to be hiring PFE's because of the $$$, they are hiring SO's. Low time people/PFEs seem to get sent to the panel. People with more time go to the right seat.

So far a good place to work. Like working for a small family. You do bust a$$ with some long days and long trip and some pretty sorry work rules.

Training is slammed as the company is short crews, upgrade is running about 1-1.5 years. The most senior person in the current class was 2 years I think.

Not entirely so. Just interviewed with them and there were a number of PFEs interviewing as well. The statement regarding low-timers first going to the panel is correct however.

All of the PFEs in my class anyhow were hired as SOs, not PFEs (the only difference is the $$$).

So what's the schedule like, and where are the domiciles?

How low is low?

What kind of total time and experience is Kalitta wanting to see for F/O's and S/O's? If I remember, it was something like 5000tt for F/O's...is that about right? How about for S/O's?

Sounds like a good gig.

4-5000 about right for f/o's.really depends on a recommendation.lots of hiring planned for the next 6-12 months.

sorry,SO's in our class varied.we had 5.3 mil fe's and 2 civilians who were pilots.both had varied experience in ga,with plenty of time but not much 121 time, which is the key right now.

Any chance for someone with a little better than 2000 hrs. total but 1000 hrs. 727 SIC and 1700 hrs. multiengine, and currently flying cargo?
