Not a matter of belief. I know it's not true because I know people there who had no turbojet time. You can believe whatever you like.

I understand that, but the CP told me they had problems with guys who only had prop time and they now want jet time. With that said, good luck to all who apply and I hope you get the job if that's what you want.

I handed the CP a resume from a friend that only had turboprop time. He told me that they have had trouble with turbo prop guys and that they wanted people with jet time. My friend got a call and was hired a few weeks later. He also had another guy walk in his resume besides me.

The point is, Kalitta is still hiring people with turbo prop only time.

The biggest thing I flew before coming to Kalitta was an EMB-120. I upgraded in 2 1/2 years with no issues. I will say it is a huge step and takes alot of effort on your part to get up to speed. We have had a few problems with turbo prop only guys, but we also have trouble with jet time guys too.

If it's not too much trouble, would you guys mind posting what a typical line looks like just to get an idea...thanks.

Just paste seventeen days in row on a calendar somewhere and I think you'll have it. A friend of mine who flies at Kalitta says he rarely flies his "scheduled" line which isn't much of a coincidence being that Kalitta is a supplemental "non-scheduled" carrier. I think he describes the schedule as the seventeen day "mystery tour."
