KA 350 Type?

I'm not sure about the BE-300 series though. I don't think any of them were ever certified at 12500 lbs or less and I'm not aware of any STC that'll lower its MTOW. One option might be re-certifying it under the experimental category but that'll generate a whole new set of limitations.

300LW limited to 12,500 because, I believe in Europe, there is a higher fee schedule for those >12,500. I believe the 300LW, when operated below 12,500, does not need a type because it is not a 300, but a 300LW. Seems like the Otter scenario, except this is a separate designation.


I know they make some mod's for KA200's to go up to 14,000lbs...So you can have a KA200 Type?

The STC isn't available yet as far as I know. I've been asking about training for awhile, but I haven't found answers. It SHOULD be all inclusive like the CE500, so that means it won't.
