In that world, even Evergreen or the Everzone is one for the books and unlike anyplace I have seen before or after. In the rough world of the airline business, the companies like Connie, Del's, David Clark, Bob Flemming and others were in the roughest section and only their personalities and persistence made a business of it at all.

If you think the airline side of Evergreen is wild, you ought to try the helicopter side.

Bull F-ing shyte!

Like our DO says... Trip over a dollar to save a nickel.

Thats just the way ALL the acmi/adhoc carriers work, regardless if thay are cargo or pax.

That is how I feel about how some of the show is run at EZ. If they took half of the money they lose through:
1. Airlining crews all over creation(when there are crews already in position at current location).
2. Not losing crews in the first place.
3. Quit the infighting between depts so that you can get an 'attaboy' from dell, (the company doesnt win if your coming under budget means that you cost another department $$)
4. Communicate better and save on OT and having crews out 18+days, and doing stupid things like makes crews drive all over creation and landing at places where it is unecessary because since you are very delayed the curfew at a military airport doesnt apply anymore.....listen to your crews to save hours and vast sums of $$$......why how stupid!
5. Furlough to save a months worth of salary, but then rehire 2 months later only to get back 20% and then have to hire anew and spend vast more sums to bring them online....thats real smart!
etc etc etc....

if they took half the money they would save from the above and gave it to the crews through higher perdiem, more pay, better conditions etc etc etc.....they would still save and it could go a way to show some appreciation for those out on the front lines. Of course, listening to said crews might help too!

It doesnt have to be this way, but DS is the kind of individual that prides himself on doing this to prove a point.
