I got the heavy itch out of my system and left evergreen for net jets in December. I laugh to myself when i try and compare the two companies. The crews and the airplane were what made the whole situation worth while. On a side note, I just recieved my only pair of eppilepts(can't spell) and work pants in the mail two weeks ago. I have been gone from the company since the middle of december! Del..thanks for the memories and the uniform:nuts:

I did 4 years there in ops. I feel for you guys, since I know that what was said by the original poster is no embellishment. That said, the only way that place will ever change is when Dell dies. Not saying better or worse, but change will only happen when he's gone.

Yeah but you get to fly a 747. You know - the big iron!! ;)

You know there's some idiot out there thinking that right now.

Yeah stupid idiots!
Why can't they just fall into a job with FedEx with 5,000 TT.

If everyone could be so lucky.

Just another scumbag freight outfit . . . Evergreen, Tradewinds, Kalitta, Southern, Arrow, Capital, etc, etc etc.

Everyone sometime in their career should work for a really slime-ball outfit like these guys so they can see what the rock-bottom of the industry is like and just how feckless the FAA is in airline oversight.

I don't think Kalitta is a scumbag outfit. I have been here for three years and it's not too bad here. There certainly are worse places to work. Sure the pay could be better but I think most everyone would say that except UPS and FedEx. Just my opinion.

Never fails. There will ALWAYS be someone out there thats got that "Holier then thou" attitude. I put 2 years in at Evergreen and made a lot of friends there. Great group of pilot's and FE's to fly with. I have since moved in but I don't regret for a second leaving a regional to go get some wide body international experience.

I do get tired off all the negative posters on here. If you don't like Evergreen, Kalitta, Arrow, ETC then don't apply for those jobs. There is absolutely no reason to trash someone else's company that you have never been associated with.

Anyone have any idea which ACMI/Second tier freight companies tend to fly the most? Kalitta, Gemini, Atlas, Southern etc etc etc. Meaning at which would one accrue time the fastest?

Also: Other quality of life issues notwithstanding, which typically have the most days with your feet in your own home?

Thanks.

...or have to fly with a draginass!

Getting tired of negative posters??? I understand the negativity is depressing. But thats part of what these forums are for. Read the forum rules. If your smart, you take the negatives and the positives on these boards as nothing more than entertainment. You don't know who is posting since true identities are disguised. So who knows how much of what being said is true?

But hopefully you learn something. I don't like negativity either but it's better to hear all than to keep your head in the sand.
