Now maybe PSA Management will realize that paying their employees is a good thing...

Kaman said:I applaud the PSA pilot group for taking a stand, but I think that you are kidding yourselves to think that managment didn't anticipate you would reject the offer. I am not flaming, I am stating the obvious when it comes to labor relations. Managment wouldn't have made the offer without a plan if it was rejected. If I were at PSA I would be very apprehensive about my future beyond the next couple of years. There is absolutely NOTHING to prevent USAirways board of directors voting to liquidate PSA, in fact I would be surprised to see either PSA or PDT around in five years. I personally don't want to see that happen, but managment has a bottom-line figure in mind for what they are willing to budget the operating funds of PSA/PDT. Remember, PSA/PDT are given a budget to operate and all their revenue goes to central kitty. If PSA or PDT cannot be operated within the budget targets set by management they are going to seek another way to feed the hubs, it's market economics plain and simple.
I knew when the merger was announced and mainline came out of bankruptcy that the handwriting was more than on the wall. PSA was never and is never going to see the remainder of their outstanding CRJ orders that stopped during the first bankruptcy...Those MESA CRJ-900s are where your "deliveries" went. I'm not a Mesa basher either, I've JS'ted on them many times and they are just trying to make a living. But, it is difficult to deny that PSA was sent a message when those deliveries never materialized, and the first CRJ-900 in the new colors blocked in at CLT.

You're dead on with the hotel situation. That woman in the SSO must be trailer tracsh if she thinks the places we all stay in now are OK. Some are just fine, but in our system PHL, FLO, and a couple of others rent rooms by the hour. She visited FLO and said it was fine. Guess she didn't have one of the normal rooms next to the interstate / railroad overlooking the hookers, crack dealers, and common thugs.__________________
