I'd like to throw the AWAC pilot group into the hat named "not willing to sell our souls". I think I detect a trend. When everyone starts demanding what we deserve ala PSA, we will be able to make a living and raise our families without having to rely on public assistance. Congrats guys, I can't wait to see you guys get paid 900 pay to fly the 900. Enjoy them.

Nice job PSA. It looks like you and the Comair F/A's are the only one with balls in this industry. We (at ASA) will be growing a pair of big ones soon.

Lol, ex-j41, you really made me not miss that a bit. Looks like the first steps to fixing the problems have been taken, but your posts are good, they remind everybody that there is a helluva a lot more that needs to be fixed...

PSA Chiefs probably thinks i am a ass but i do really see humor in all of this. Some people take this "Job" thing all too seriously. I surf/ski therefore i live.
I don't live to work! Now where the hell is my crew meal?

Wait a minute, I do have a mullet and confederate flag tattoo and I wouldn't stay in those places given a choice!

Were are you guys staying in FAY now? (Yet another fine example of US RJ use...)

We're at that Holiday Inn by the Ruby Tuesdays and that gas station with the Subway.

*Shrug* I hear ya...

PSA, you'll be at the negotiating table soon enough for those 900s.

You're dead on with the hotel situation. That woman in the SSO must be trailer tracsh if she thinks the places we all stay in now are OK. Some are just fine, but in our system PHL, FLO, and a couple of others rent rooms by the hour. She visited FLO and said it was fine. Guess she didn't have one of the normal rooms next to the interstate / railroad overlooking the hookers, crack dealers, and common thugs.

I know her, she's a good kid, used to be a scheduler at alg, and was pretty good to the crews to the point that she used to get in trouble with the head schedulers who thought she talked to us too much and was too nice to us

point being, she's constrained by what she can do hotel wise, the requirements the company requires usuallys remove many of the hotels from contention...
things such as providing transportation from airport to hotel and back, and how much they charge being the two big ones, she does the best she can with her limitations

she does the best she can with her limitations

I guess they should find someone that can do it better for less money.
She probably goes to yellowpages.com and finds a sleep inn, asks if they have a van to the airport
and BINGO we have a hotel.
With no thought to where we are going to eat. hmmm subway for breakfast. (don't take it personally John).
Awefull waffle for dinner.
No thought to how we can get some excercise, proper rest, and most of all how about our Safety?
If she was tested and had a checkride she would get an UNSAT. Taken off duty and stripped of all certificates.
But she probably doesn't have anything to lose does she!
Reason #452, why a pilot deserves better pay!

Man what did I do? I am starting to feel insulted. As far as the hotels go, I dont care how nice your lady friend is, the hotels on some overnights are unacceptable. Funny, I keep hearing she a visited these sites and deems them OK, amazing.

Congrats you are worth it !!!!!

Congratulations PSA pilots. Your MEC has been masterful in representing you every step of the way. No I don't work there any more, but I certainly do appreciate someone who is smart and knows how to play the game and win a negotiation.

My two cents, pay the FO's $45.00 per hour so they can afford to live and have some QOL. Also I would look to the fractionals as more representative of current pay and QOL as opposed to concessionary regional contracts.

Stay strong and good luck.

Well done to the PSA folks. Don't worry, PDT won't go for those B.S. rate either.

MS's code-a-phone for 2 Aug mentions PDT. He appropriately thanks the PDT pilots for standing firm and refusing to enter any similar type of talks or negotiations on the 90 seat class of aircraft while PSA was in negotiations.

Wow.

Imagine if the old PSA MEC would have done that a couple years ago when ALG and PDT and PSA were to stand firm together on RJ rates of pay and RJ aquisition. PSA broke ranks, made the side deal, did the opposite and DID enter into talks to get RJs on their property, at lower rates of pay, effectivley undercuting their wholly owned brothers.

Yes PSA pilots, your new MEC chairman is right; you do owe the PDT pilots a great debt of gratitude.

I know that many hotels are out due to company constraints. However, there has been a continuous downward slide in the hotel area from the time before the SSO took over.

Add to the fact that they continue to violate the contract in the sense that there is little to no communication between her and the hotel committee. As a matter of fact, at one point in time, she flat refused to talk with the committee chairman.

I have no doubt that at one point she was a good person to have supporting you on the line. People change however, and as far as I'm concerned, the proof is in the pudding. The fact that she spent the night in the FLO hotel after receiving numerous complaints. She decided that the hotel was fine.

That place is far from fine. Drug dealers, a couple of prostitutes, generally shady characters walking around at all hours. Add to the the interstate traffic which can be heard over the TV and air conditioner, the railroad which provides a highly effective 0330 wake up, and she's made my sh!tlist.

BTW.. If you haven't been there, the railroad track runs LITERALLY! through the parking lot of the hotel.

I can understand and sympathise with company imposed constraints put on her when choosing hotels. The fact that she approves of this place says a lot, and none of it is good.

What's in the past is in the past. All we can do is learn from it. What PSA and PDT have shown these last two weeks is just that. Learn from our mistakes.

Yea... its a different game now!! We were all in Chapt.11 with a smoking gun pointed at our heads!!! Now we are making money......soo------> show us the money!!!!

Like Prop said.. past is past!! I totally support my PSA bro's!!!

Billah! I've got a stinkin' handle of Crown Royal. I'll trade you this canadian swill (what I paid 29.00 for through an uncle in the military) for some bourbon... shoot, I'm done with this sluice juice. Switching to Glenfiddich Solera Reserve, the poor man's highbrow scotch.

... much better.

Hat's off to the PSA pilots, and they do have my support in spades. *sip*

Jack Daniels Single Barrel. Never has a smoother bourbon been made!

Booker puts out a fine Bourbon, and I've had the luck of tasting some superior spirits. Never even came close to the single barrel. That has to be AWESOME...

One time back in the day, I was ordered to purchase ten bottles of Johnnie Walker Blue label. That was the SWILL of the night. I drank Uisgepaugh Pinch from a real leather hogshead, and it was the smoothest liquor I've ever had. Not counting that crazy chick, who was the best licker I've ever had...

True... but it only last me 2 days... pour that stuff in a glass, with one old piece of ice..

Yummy... on my way to the store for some...

Some hotels definetly need improvement for example RIC, CAK, PHL.

Just recently in PHL in the midst of a heat wave these @sses leave the AC off until you walk in the room not to mention the smell of BO. I was about to die!!

CAK is a freakin truck stop!! and the wireless truly blows.

I don't know why there are complaints about XNA. The hotel is 11 months old and the van takes you to and from restaurant row. The pool seems to be broken every time I am there. But it's all good.

PSA is getting the 900's ...20 to come with 20 more on backorder. I'll take a large fry and a milkshake too...they finally woke up and smelled the Union.

I'm calling shannagins on this. It went to a vote the first time so I'm thinking there would be a vote the second time.
