I was called this morning by Linda and offered the job. I have a May 12th ground school class in the Hawker 400xp. I am really excited and thankful.

Does anyone have any info on the Hawker 400xp?

Thank you and I looking forward to working with everyone at NetJets.

After working very hard the past couple of weeks in an Excel, and talking with a couple of 400XP crews in the pilot lounge (that's where they always seem to be!), I think you'll enjoy it.

Congrats, and welcome aboard!

Congratulations on getting on with a great, successful and financially stable company.

Sorry about the Hawker 400, can't win them all (just kidding).

Congrats and welcome to the best part time (26 weeks/year) Job in the world! And the best pilot job on earth

Congrats and welcome on board! Just hung out with two 400 guys this morning (0 dark thirty) and they were happy with the plane. I guess a H450 is in the works?

IMHO you should have took the U-boat!
:)

Great job! The Hawker 400XP (AKA Beechjet) is a fun airplane to fly from what I hear. It doesn't have great range so you will primarily fly shorter flights (which will be easier on your a$$) but you will likely see a lot of the country. Check out the following:

Check out airborne EJA Beechjet flights link (look for EJA and click on those flights to see routes and layovers):

Congrats man. You'll love it.

Congratulations, Captain 007! Good luck and best wishes to those still waiting for their phone to ring. NJW

Congrats, captain007, and welcome aboard. I truly believe you'll be very pleased to fly here.

If you have any questions about the company or the job, please feel free to PM me.

i dont think anyone calls it the hawker 400xp.. i think they all call it the beechjet

that is like calling the G200 a gulfstream...

Either way you are going to love it... Had a beech rescue us in Napa two weeks ago!

Hog,
Yeah I heard that rumor about the 450 when I did initial over 2 yrs ago. Given their track record with trying to get the 4000 certified, I think we will be out of Iraq before the 450 (if ever) gets certified.

Ever miss the old days at Biggs?

Fantastic news! I just met a Netjets Beechjet driver and he really enjoyed the airplane. He said it is not the fastest airplane out there but it is easy to fly and a very casual group of pilots. He had flown the X as an FO for years and he was happy to be flying shorter trips.

Welcome to the family man!!! This will be your last stop so look back and smile. Say goodbye to your old life and get ready for one hell of a ride!

Congrats...

what's the word on hiring this year? I'm curious to know how many classes are running per month...

The beechjet is a pretty fun airplane.. I got about 500 hrs on it from another company. It does the usual .76-.78, climbs to 410 as good as the next plane, and is pretty easy to land compared to a "X"... I'm counting on upgrading to the 400 (maybe in the next 4-5 years) and really won't mind if it's the beechjet.

Having no APU stinks, but it will start using just batteries if ya need to in a pinch...

It is loud from the outside also, I had to open the cabin door once with an engine running and it was maybe the loudest whine I've ever heard...

The range stinks once you get above around 3 pax...

What about your capt? :D

Got the call today also. Apr 28 for indoc and will fly the Sovereign. Yeah I know, better hit the gym and lift some weights. Not my first choice but still looking forward to it.

That's great, Helm! Congrats to you and your family. :)

You're welcome--in both ways.

Good for you. I hear the Sovereign fleet is pretty busy but the airplane offers some exhilerating performance - I think I heard it climbs like a bat out of he!!... Nice Primus Epic cockpit like this:

It's a real nice looking airplane too. Sure, it has baggage space, but I hear not everyone uses it to its full capacity. You can stuff a lot of bags into the cabin of an Ultra if you want to as well. Regardless, it should be fun.
