BLing said:I just got mine in the mail yesterday. I am having the same problems that you are. I feel that they are not quiet enough for a $1000. I am in the process of sending them back for a new pair. I hope that I do have a problem, because if this is normal, people are getting screwed. My theory (which I hope to be false)on the Bose is that its a lightweight headset that is loud as hell with the ANR off. When the ANR is turned on, it does quiet down wich makes people think that the Bose is the greatest thing ever. However, there is almost no difference between the bose with the ANR on and my DC H10-60's.

PTT and headphones sure makes life much easier, sort of like the GPS vs NDBS. Technology for the win.
BLing said:Well, mine must be messed up... When I put them on (not in an airplane) and turn the ANR on, I can hear a lot of static noise. I had a student once that let me try his out in the same manner and it was 100% quite. Hopefully my new one will be perfect.
Alin10123 said:What do you mean by 100% quiet? You couldn't hear any of the prop at all?
I can still hear mine but there's a huge difference between having the airplane at cruise and then taking them off and putting them on again.
BLing said:Trying to describe sounds over the net is a challenge. I was trying to say that yes I have a problem (I hope) because my bose suck. In my last post, I was describing just putting the bose on when not being in an airplane and turning on the ANR. On mine I can hear a lot of static noise whereas another pair I tried in the same manner I couldnt hear anything. So I think that the ANR is not working properly on mine.
Alin10123 said:The static that you hear is not normal. Did you send it back already? Did you get a replacement pair back yet? This is why i drove out to a store to get mine. This way, if there was a problem they had more in stock and i didn't have to wait for shipping.
Please update when you get the new set so that we can see how it goes.
thanks
