I am going to try to jumpseat to Freeport this coming weekend. I see Eagle has flights out of Miami and it looks like Gulfstream has flights out of FLL. My trip would be originating out of MCO. Anyone have any experience jumpseating to the Bahamas? Just curious as to what the procedures, costs, etc. are? Do I need to check in at the airline's ticket counter here in the US to pay taxes or can that be done at the gate? Do they take credit cards or cash only? Any help or suggestions would greatly be appreciated.

There are no problems jumpseating in and out of the Bahamas. You will have to pay the departure tax in cash leaving. This will require that you check into the ticket counter in Freeport. Out of the US, it is the standard protocol for jumpseating. Good Luck! Always remember that Bahamas Air takes just about anyone!

Thanks for the help guys. Just visiting a friend that is stopping there for a day on a cruise.
