Are there any NWA pilots on here who could tell me if a Chautauqua pilot would be able to jumpseat home from a Montana vacation? My best options from Kalispell, MT are Northwest and Pinnacle through MSP.

from experience commuting from MEM.

mainline NW allows 4 jumpseaters, 2 non-carrier and 2 carrier ones. it is usually up to the captain if the 2 non-carrier can be exceeded. i've never been denied at NW and have been treated 1st class by them.

I think the regional partners allow unlimited j/s. Any Mesaba/Pinnacle folk out there?

Chautauqua pilots are on the list for Mesaba. Heck you have our old CEO running things over there. Also, unlimited J/S are available.

So if Mesaba takes y'all then I assume Pinnacle and NW do too.

Pinnacle and Mesaba take unlimited jumpseaters.

NWA takes as many jumpseaters as they have in the cockpit. The DC-9 has only one jumpseat, all other aircraft have two.

Pilots with more than 5 years of seniority (basically the ones not furloughed) can fly in coach for free. Therefore, it usually isn't a problem with them writing a pass.

Not sure of Mesaba, but Pinnacle only takes 3 jumpseats. NWA takes 1 for each jump seat + 2 additional. DC-9, 757, have 1 jump seat. Airbus has 2 jumpseats.
