Jumpseat question

If your going on vacation and have more stuff to bring than the standard flight crew bag will hold, how do you jumpseat on a carrier other than the one you work for, with the oversized or two normal size bags? Will they let you gatecheck those if you can get them through security? Is there anyway to check them at the ticker counter and still jumpseat?

yes you can check standby bags just tell them what you are doing at the ticket counter. I have even done this connecting international.
