Jumpseat loss due to CASS???

Oh boy..... It wasn't my question.

We are not in the CASS program so the company cannot verify pilots who are within the program. So TSA/FAA says we cannot carry them. When the company becomes compliant then the issue goes away.
 
Just curious...our CP said he would work to get us CASS qualified...if that is an option? I don't have problems jumpseating...but is there a procedure/road to follow in order to do it??? He is willing to do the paperwork (handing the cost to the pilots ie...$100.00 deduction from per diem)...but is that even an option. What would we gain by being CASS qual. if that is even an option. Our J/S agreements seem to be intact.
