Is there anything I need to know about jump seating from San Juan to Nevis on American Eagle with regard to TSA regs? Are there any international considerations? Can I just walk up to the counter in San Juan and hop a ride out? How about when I'm in Nevis trying to get back?

I'll give the low down on some stuff. Is nevis a US territory? If so, you should be able to jumpseat. However I was trying to go to St Croix and due to the short flight it was wieght rest due to max landwieght. I took Carribean Sun from SJU to St Croix. They were great! Dunno if we had recip jumpseat but the let me bum a ride in the cabin.

Leaving St Croix was a different story. First Eagle agents didn't have a clue, they're just island locals that really don't give a crap about a jumpseater. I had to call aa non rev to get listed. Then they tell me I can't sit in the jumpseat. No biggie short flight, max landing wieght I understand. Well I didn't make several flights due to being full and mx cancellations. However later in the day there was a mainline flight to MIA. I asked if I could sit in the jumpseat on that one and they said no. I am permitted to occupy per AA FOM but again these clueless agents had no idea what CASS is or how to list and board a jumpseater. They just said "Na Mon".

Advice: Buy passes on other airlines or a zed pass. I've none reved many places and I will now buy tickets. There are no airlines benies any more!

I called AA non-rev and was told I can't jumpseat international... Any American Eagle San Juaners in here confirm that?

Yes, Its some kind of new policy. I think its total BS.

You should be able to get an ID 90/ZED fare. They are really cheap.

Look at Caribbean Sun... they will take enyone.
