The public thinks this is funny.
So do the TSA screeners.
The news people like anything that lowers someone's stature. They especially like drunk pilots.
The police think that if you're not a cop your an a$$hole.
The company wants to get rid of the senior pilots so they can fill the seat with a junior (lower paid) pilot.
The Unions can't do a thing once you show up for a trip and blow over the limit.
Your colleagues will have little or no sympathy for a self inflicted wound.
That's a pretty hostile environment. Avoidance is the key.
