Having never been in an S3, I don't even know if it has a stick on the right side. If it does, I would imagine he got a little "stick time" enroute. However, I HIGHLY doubt he had his hands anywhere near the controls during their trap.

Pres Bush II

Especially since this President Bush was an Air Force Pilot. Bush I was the Navy guy.

I agree, pretty sure the take-off and landing were not done by "w"-

although whoever did it "missed" the third and hit the forth which I don't believe is "ideal" so who knows...:(

Some News babe on one of the cable channels reported earlier that Bush told some of the pilots who greeted him that he flew about 1/3 of the trip and the pilot offered him the whole trip including some enroute maneuvers as well as the trap but Bush differed the landing to the pilot.

Cannot remember which channel it was.

Just in case you have to use an MEL...

The meek shall inherit the DEARTH...

I'll take arrogant as a compliment, thanks! Not nearly as arrogant as calling your self a GVJoc, from the right seat...but then I wasn't being personal...it's just that I don't believe MY Commander in Chief was "differing" anything. Nor do I believe he DEFERRED the landing. He didn't postpone, suspend, stay or delay, HIS flying of the landing. I don't think that he was DIFFERENT, in the belief that even THINKING about landing a multi-engine jet on an aircraft carrier for the first time with only a pre-flight briefing under his belt, would only result in the VICE President becoming President. President Bush is a smart man...and there were NO plans for HIM to actually land the plane on the carrier. No postponement. No delay. NO PLAN.

As far as spelling misteaks go...dude, dig up all my posts and let the party begin. Everybody makes a spelling error. DIFFER/DEFER. My president did neither.

WrightAvia,

Personally, the G-IV's a pretty cool plane. He can call himself whatever he wants... Moving your physical location to the left by 3 feet from the right seat to the left doesn't necessarily mean your a God, nor does it mean that your automatically more competant. Idiots magically find their way in to both seats, EVERYWHERE. It's a power they have. :D

HI h25b!

Actually, you make a good point...and point well taken about idiots in the left seat, I resemble that statement. But I'm sure you understand, I wasn't picking on GIVJoc personally...I was just punning on his use of the word differed. My point in the second post was, that If I wanted to be arrogant...that GIVJoc screen name would have been more likely of a target for attack. And you're right...he can call himself whatever. I never flew a GV...so to labor that whole joc thing would be a moot point.

Wouldn't bulletin boards be boorish...if someone just posted something and everybody just typed in agreeing statements? Did you see Jackass the movie yet? When you do...look at the sceen where the guy makes a snow cone by filling a paper cup full of ice crystals. Then the guy drops his drawers and pee flavors his own snowcone. Well, when the guy starts to eat that pee snow cone, he stops for a second to either gag or has a reflex from the "ice cream headache". Then you see a guy come from behind the camera and kicks snow cone man in the balls...that's ME dude. You eat a pee snow cone...I kick you in the balls. Sorry, but that's my job.

As for Swass...I snatched that photo from the AP newswire during this current gulf war. It features a Brit soldier looking over his shoulder, sporting an ENFIELD L85A1 Bullpup 5.56mm rifle. I chose the photo because it reflected an attitude that I feel represents me well. As far as the shades go...can't help you out there. I'm a old fashioned Raybans kind of guy, myself.

Did anyone read the article in the original post?

The president told reporters that he flew the Viking for about a third of the journey. Asked whether he tried any maneuvers, he said he contented himself with simply flying a straight line, adding that today's planes were much more sophisticated than what he flew...

Was there ever any question as whether or not he made the landing? Just curious.

I managed to catch the speech but missed Bush's arrival on the carrier.

What do you think I'M getting at HOLMES?

This whole thread and the other one like it is LUDICRUST!

You tell me that the pres was out joy riding in a Katana and had to make an emergency landing on the carrier...THEN I'll believe that BUSH actually flew a landing onto a carrier.

This whole thing was media hype and a morale raiser for the country and it WORKED! But just think...if edjumacated pilot types had to debate whether or not Bush actually flew the landing onto the carrier...what are them turd world trailer trash mo fo's thinking...and they all got SAT DISH now! THINGABOUDIT?!!? "HMMMM...BUSH STRONG LIKE BULL!"
